PCF SPARKLETOTS PRESCHOOL @ KEAT HONG BLOCK 353 (CC)

PRACTICUM (NURSERY 1)

During my one week practicum at PCF Sparkletots, I got to observe the way other educators interact with the children, and also what kind of lesson plans and activities they executed. During my time there, I got the chance to help out with things I have not done before like diaper changing and also teaching the children how to use a pair of scissors, using my knowledge that I have gained from one of my module, Motor Skills & Development. I also got to engage, communicate and work with the children and educators there, working on my soft skills like communication.

SHEFFIELD KIDSWORLD (CHOA CHU KANG)

My one month practicum at Sheffield Kidsworld exposed me to many new experiences. I had the opportunity to care for the children in Playgroup (PG), Nursery 1 (N1) as well as Nursery 2 (N2). This experience gave me an insight on what, and how activities/lessons are planned, and carried out to cater to the developmental needs of children of different age groups. Being able to actually implement my lesson plans in an actual classroom gave me a glimpse as to how the working world would be like for me in the future and I really enjoyed my time with the children there.
